Exam success for trainee accountants
Two trainees at Essex chartered accountants Rickard Keen are celebrating after passing their latest set of exams with flying colours.
Hayley Rostron and Jodie Stead have successfully passed “knowledge” papers of the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Hayley, who lives in Sandon, near Chelmsford and works at the firm’s Basildon office, has recently taken her first two papers, achieving 85 per cent in Accounting and 70 per cent in Assurance.
She joined the firm in July 1 as a graduate from the University of Hertfordshire, where she attained a first class BA (Hons) in Business Studies.
“I am thrilled to have achieved such good marks in my first two papers and hope I can continue with my progress throughout the qualification,” she said.
Jodie, who joined the firm in 2008, passed Accounting and Assurance at the beginning of the year and has successfully added Principles of Taxation gaining a score of 90 per cent.
She joined Rickard Keen fresh from taking her A-Levels and has already attained the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.
She said: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out I had passed with 90 per cent, it’s brilliant.
“I want to thank the firm who have been very supportive throughout these exams.”
